That is really serious
I don't think they can atm, as far as I can see. It's like what happens with the PL footballers when this pops up.should have disclosed the name.
Then if he turns out innocent they get sued? I wouldn't risk itshould have disclosed the name.
Not sure if they can but they did mention Guyanese.should have disclosed the name.
aren't there multiple active Guyanese Cricketers who play for the West Indies? Nepo Chanderpaul, Gukadesh Motie, Shemar Joseph, Shemron Hetmyer etc?Not sure if they can but they came close to exposing him by referencing Guyanese.
The situation is troubling but we do have some young batsmen like Kelleway, Weibgen, Dixon and Harjas Singh. I don't see much hope in the current players ever improving but hopefully one or two of the younger one will develop into test cricketers.Australia have a crisis of no real emerging bats (Under 30)
Look at the best Sheffield Shield Scorers (top 5)
Jake Weatherald (30)
Hilton Cartwright (33)
Jake Lehmann (32)
Kurtis Patterson (33)
Alex Carey (34)
6th is Campbell Kellaway who is 22
Narrow field isn't it? One can speculate but who really knows?aren't there multiple active Guyanese Cricketers who play for the West Indies? Nepo Chanderpaul, Gukadesh Motie, Shemar Joseph, Shemron Hetmyer etc?
yupNarrow field isn't it? One can speculate but who really knows?
Also Peake from Vic is promising for his age. These guys are all so young though. Could be a golden batting group for 5 years or so from now but in the mean time things look roughThe situation is troubling but we do have some young batsmen like Kelleway, Weibgen, Dixon and Harjas Singh. Terrible when people accuse neutral umpires of cheating when everyone knows they’re just incompetent.I guess that noble task would have fallen to you?![]()
The lawyer appointed by the survivors family mentioned that the cricketer in question was supposed to be arrested at the airport upon arrival from Aus, but instead received a 'heroes welcome' from the Government.Narrow field isn't it? One can speculate but who really knows?
Saw this earlier today after seeing the comments in the West Indies discussion thread. There's only one name that's coming up.Narrow field isn't it? One can speculate but who really knows?
****ing hell that's depressing if true. The lawyer appointed by the survivors family mentioned that the cricketer in question was supposed to be arrested at the airport upon arrival from Aus, but instead received a 'heroes welcome' from the Government.
Doesn't take a genius to work out who that is. I feel sick and don't think I'll be watching today's play, tbh.
Innocent until proven guilty, but this truly does not look good.
Yeah that makes it obvious. The lawyer appointed by the survivors family mentioned that the cricketer in question was supposed to be arrested at the airport upon arrival from Aus, but instead received a 'heroes welcome' from the Government.

They also allege (not proven, to be clear) previous complaints include the rape of a 15 year old girl, supposedly his cousin. In that case, the complainant stopped cooperating with authorities and dropped the charges.****ing hell that's depressing if true.
Feel awful for the poor woman too, of course.
This is heart breaking. Iam law student and if he proven guilty could mean life term jail sadly( i think almost all of Commonwealth country's have similar criminal laws be it india or Guyana)They also allege (not proven, to be clear) previous complaints include the rape of a 15 year old girl, supposedly his cousin. In that case, the complainant stopped cooperating with authorities and dropped the charges.
Again, to be crystal clear, none of this is proven. But in my experience, multiple complainants usually means this is heading in only one direction.
Even if we win this test, all the emotion is gone for me now. He should not be playing.
If he is proven guilty, there is no "sadly" there. This is heart breaking. Iam law student and if he proven guilty could mean life term jail sadly( i think almost all of Commonwealth country's have similar criminal laws be it india or Guyana)
100% Cricketer or not, If he broke the law then jail himIf he is proven guilty, there is no "sadly" there.
