Top Women's Top 6 / Top 8 only List A. Missing 2 earliest seasons ATM, no record on cricketarchive or espn that I've found, but only affects a few players. Note, Marizanne Kapp has played none of those matches, so is not present because a) Proteas players often miss a lot of domestic games, b) Unlike the men's side, the women's side adopted the 2 div promotion / relegation, with some variations around the 2014 season, and in that time EP has only been in div 1 for one season (and played as a qualifier twice, long story but 2 of the 10 div 2 teams qualified for one of two rounds of List A in a season at one point)

That's what makes Markram so frustrating. Obviously, expecting him to average over 60 in test cricket isn't realistic, but he should be averaging more than he does.

Men's List A, Div 1 & Franchise-only, til end of season. Worth noting that Bedingham's strike rate is very high, but it's in part because pre-UK he only played 4-day, so almost all his List A games are in the last 2 to 3 seasons. Vd Dussen has the opposite problem, his first 7 or so seasons weigh down his strike rate, as he scored heavily, but usually at a strike-rate under 70...

The weird stat is the only format he hasn't dominated domestically is T20, but that is where he has done the best in international... Clearly, his role-model in life has been Mark Ramprakash...

Different format I know, but Qeshile showing again how baffling it was that Clyde Fortuin kept vs NZ...

He went through a rough patch & he has a weakness Vs spin but it was no competition v Fortuin. He should have gone. Moonsamy was only just back in Div 1 was also a better pick.

Looking back now the experience pick of Olivier added zero value.

I guess the positives from that tour were seeing Bedingham & Ruan de Swardt do well & maybe look past Moore, Hamza, Van Tonder & Petersen. Although Hamza might have chance to come back if he keeps scoring runs.

What is the deal with van Tonder? I haven’t seen much of him but he looks like someone who has temperament but an obvious weakness around that front pad. I think KP has basically shown his level. He can play the odd good innings and maybe win you a couple of games if it’s a 200 vs 200 kinda game but he isn’t a banker. Hamza for me is the disappointment because every time I watch him he finds a NEW way to get out. It’s actually quite infuriating.

Olivier is just washed now. He came back as a completely different bowler. In fact in that NZ series he was basically a worse version of de Swardt.

When he was scoring all those runs he was being criticised that it was all in Bloemfontein on flat pitches.

But agree, he seems to struggle playing around the front pad.

Test level really found out that Hamza mentally was struggling with the short ball. Eddie Moore was another who seems lost against shot-pitch bowling. Definitely how the domestic quicks are targeting Eddie Moore this past season. Titans were pumping him with short stuff from Dala and Boast.
