So you have one of Agar/Abbott at 7 and the other at 8, nah fam

This is actually 1 bowler more than we had against NZ (or was it Zim?), Green was batting 8 remember

That's plenty in an ODI ffs. If they're called on to do much there then there's been a huge **** up. Green is wasted at seven. bat him in the top six somewhere and drop Spuduschagne.

You can say the same thing of maxwell at #7, tbh. That extra batsmen is a big part of our recent success in the format.

Literally our last ODI series, against NZ, we were 5-down in the powerplay twice and the deep batting order saved us

There's no reason you can't have all of Maxwell, Green, Abbott, MMarsh and Agar (if you want a second spinner). Stacking the bowling is the way forward because these days someone always seems to cop a belting. Having that many options is gold.

Head
Warner
Smith
MMarsh
Green
Maxwell
Abbott
Agar
Starc
Cummins/ Haze
Turtle

is a stacked side. Eight bowling options and plenty of batting.

You can't take ODIs in September in Aus as being representative of what cricket is usually like. It's footy season.

There's no reason stacking a side with allrounders won't work in the ODI set up. .
