5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

I'd normally give England an odds on chance to win from this position, but missing Stokes in the middle order makes them so much more susceptible & for that reason I'm favouring India to win & to draw the series.

*Official* New Zealand in Zimbabwe 2025 (Tests)

I read it was just some tightness & just precautionary to take him off considering NZ were always going to win at that point. Hopefully he'll be right for the 2nd Test starting Thursday

    All-Time World XIs: Discussion Thread

Irrational post considering whether you think Hadlee or McGrath is the better bowler you've got to acknowledge it's a razor-thin thing either way, and not an outrage. You're making it sound like we selected Alastair Cook over Len Hutton.

Best captain your country never had

Wouldn't had the patience or temperament If his commentary is anything to go by would he?

Best captain your country never had

For NZ J F Reid would have been an astute Test skipper. Always struck me as a highly intelligent batsman, and a decent dude who could rally the lads.

    Official Jasprit Bumrah fanboying thread

He's a champion, and who knows what his final numbers will look like but it's hard not to see him ending up at the very least as one of the top 5 pacers of all-time up in the discussion with Marshall, Hadlee, McGrath, Steyn and Ambrose, or even better. If he doubles his current wicket haul and...

More peer reputation : Shane Warne vs Wasim Akram

No doubt Wasim had amazing peer recognition - AB famously saying if he could be born as another cricketer it would be Akram, but Warne is Warne, and few had better peer reputation as him.

    Ambrose vs imran

Ambrose quite clearly for mine, albeit not by a huge margin.

*Unofficial* New Zealand Black Caps Thread

Yeah, wtf is the loyalty thing with Nicholls? I initially thought it was just a pointless goodwill gesture to play him in the odd ODI last season when the main international players were unavailable, but another central contract is beyond a joke. Furthermore, I see he's batted 8 FC innings for...

Top 2 fast bowlers of each decade since 70s

Why supposedly give your top 2 yet end up bracketing Hadlee/Imran & McGrath/Akram fro the 80s & 90s? Make a call man.

    *Official* Bangladesh A v New Zealand A

Some promising performances by some of the NZ A Squad, although Foxcroft did not help his bowling reputation at all, and I'm surprised Ashok only played the 1st test after his 5-fer, unless he was injured.
