Ross Taylor likely to be shafted from the captaincy?

Well he has been more productive under McCullum than any other captain in both forms, so pretty good. I assume that's what you meant, that he has been excellent? Because I'm sure you're not one of those who have seen his relative lack of success in the last couple of months and are trying to...

    20th Match - New Zealand v Australia

As a kiwi I just can't feel comfortable against the aussies in any situation. In fact being in such a strong position almost makes it worse, I can feel something dreadful around the corner. This is excruciating.

Let's say we get a new Bradman...what happens?

I wonder what the odds would be of this partnership ending in a run out? Stoked to see our 2 best bats spending some time at the wicket together but gee they really look hesitant running. It feels like they don't really trust each other.

The way you describe it is how a the goal line is judged in football, and the touch line in rugby (in most situations but let's not go there) so it's not like you're totally out of left field but I reckon it would be more confusing in the case of boundaries, not less.

I'm not saying it's untouchable, I just think it works better how it is.

The difference is the runs are based on whether the ball, has bounced or not as opposed to judging whether it has crossed the line. So in terms of whether a boundary has been scored, a 6 or a 4 is the same. Regardless, you still have the same problem if the ball has bounced rather than...

So you'll have different rules for boundaries depending on whether the ball has bounced or not? Sounds sensible.

No no no no no. Imagine the angst trying to judge a 6/out situation when the fielder is standing on or over the rope. It is just fine how it is.

I don't think I've ever been pleased to see NZ lose a wicket but Guptill is just not helping the cause at the moment. Better off in the shed.
