4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

Well I thought they did after World War 1 but then Germany decided to start another fight with World War 2, all of us cricket countries won in the end. With a little bit of help from a baseball country. The Oval is usually a batting paradise and if it is I still expect Stokes to bowl first...

The time to shake hands is when the test series is over, there is another test battle to go, you don't shake hands and be friends before the war is over.

It's been a great test series to watch as a neutral with both teams landing some blows with some great performances from some great players. Ideally it would be going to a decider in the 5th test with both teams a chance of winning the series, only England can but India can still draw it.

A ton for Washington and it's all over, that draw would feel more like a win for India and a loss for England.

Brook is doing a great impression of Bashir.

The old master Jadeja beats the young apprentice Washington to a ton.

The young apprentice might be the old master to a ton.

It looked like Stokes wanted to give up and go off but Gill has refused, fair enough, they should let Jadeja get a ton at least.

This looks like being a draw now. That drop from Root off Jadeja is looking costly now, once again he has stepped up for India when it counts. India are going to miss him when he retires, his apprentice Washington is pretty good but not as good as him.

A couple of fifties for Washington and Jadeja and India have a lead now. They have a good chance of a draw now but you would think they have a chance of a win with how the Indian supporters are celebrating there. Ravi Shastri trying to keep a lid on it, don't count your chickens just yet.

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

England have to be favourites for the win now with Rahul gone and Jofra getting Gill out just before lunch and almost getting Jadeja out as well. There are still questions about whether Pant will bat but you think he would if India need him to bat and they probably will with two sessions left...

Respect to Gill, another fine ton in this series. As I said before he has transformed himself from a flashy test opener to a gritty no.4 test captain, he is an upgrade on Kohli from his last few years.

No need to review that one, the great Kiwi all rounder strikes again, that was plumb. India's chance of saving this game has dropped significantly with Rahul back in the shed.

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

A great effort from Rahul and Gill to get to stumps, could they be the next Laxman and Dravid circa 2001 against the Aussies and turn a loss into a win. A long way to go yet.

Morcambe and Wise, they were a great English duo. They were a bit before my time though. It was Smith and Jones or Hale and Pace back m my day. I think Jones might have been Welsh though which rules him out.
