Headley is better and it isn't all that competitive, Ponting much more akin to a Weekes than to a Headley.

Curious why Headley is rated so highly. I know his stats but there is little between him and Graeme Pollock when it comes to raw stats but the latter is often rated much lower.

I don't think Pollock is rated much lower, he is rated a little bit lower I feel though. Like both made the B team in my World XI Series (Ponting made C).

Re Headley and Pollock, Pollock had good and decent batsmen around him. Barlow, Lindsay, Goddard, Irvine, later ofc Barry. Headley did the biggest carry job in the history of the game. That WI side had so so **** batting except him. He was called Atlas for a reason.

Shouldn’t be rated based on what your teammates did. Should be rated based on what you did.

What I’m specifically saying is, I don’t give Hadlee some sort of weak team bonus over say McGrath and Marshall because he played in a weak team. Same as Headley and Pollock.
