Franchise Cricket in England Domestic Season 2025

Not his fault. He put his name forward for the draft and wasn't selected. He's playing only as a replacement - chosen when Du Plessis dropped out. It's the conservative nature of the franchise teams management at fault - picking their mates, even their relations and those they've heard about in the last decade.
Agreed, completely unimaginative. The selection of Faf in the first place is the same.

Last few games have been a terrible advert for the Hundred, for both men's and women's. Low scoring games on average pitches. Going to be hard to enthuse crowds.
At least the Cardiff games were close, and in the end, Cartwright's knock was deserving to be the match winner. But Lord's was just shocking.

0val Invincibles always win the toss and bowl. I would like to see them bat first.

Where has Gus Atkinson been? Carse was given a rest, but all the other England Test seamers who aren’t injured have been playing, does he simply not get into the Oval Invincibles team?

It's basically him or Mahmood I guess unless they drop Sowter.

Can't say it's a bad thing him not playing at the mo, less chance of picking up an injury.

Curran could get in the England T20 side with bat or ball the way he's going atm. Baffling him and Cox haven't at least made the T20 sides in the latest white ball squads, they're both so good.

I think the concern with Cox is that he doesn't play the short ball well against seriously quick bowlers. But he's enjoying the cannon fodder in the 100 it seems.

Atkinson is a better red ball player than white ball, that doesn’t seem to matter to some franchises, but the Oval Invincibles are far more sensible than others…
