Just seen Revis signed as a replacement for Flintoff (no reason given apparently) - too late for the Roses clash!
He was very erratic when he first came on at the Oval, but once he got to grips with his footing, he was better tbf. I get that being an all-format player is a very demanding job, but has he ever been in contention for a white ball call-up?Tongue leading the wicket taking with 9 wickets from 3 matches at 8.33 econ 7.50

Never hear his name mentioned with the white ball.
England do not need multiformat players. If JT is playing tests leave him out of the white ball.Tongue leading the wicket taking with 9 wickets from 3 matches at 8.33 econ 7.50
I'm struggling to see how Joverton gets a gig instead of Curran. One looks tailor made for the 7 spot and 4th seamer, the other really doesn't.England probably need to get Scurran back into the T20 side.
I must say, that I tune into the Hundred a little more when it is on the BBC. Not out of any loyalty to their coverage but the fact that it is on domestic rather than pay TV, even though I do have SKY. Scurran definitely has more utility as a bowler in t20, when he has been hopeless in ODIs for some time. His batting definitely has improved too.I'm struggling to see how Joverton gets a gig instead of Curran. One looks tailor made for the 7 spot and 4th seamer, the other really doesn't.
Meanwhile, another strong all round performance from Rehan too, surely now the natural replacement for Rashid.
Let's not forget he's a sought after IPL player, there can't be many of those deemed not good enough by their International teams.I must say, that I tune into the Hundred a little more when it is on the BBC. Yeah, he's a very tempting pick for his batting alone. I'm not sure when bowling that his version of the moon ball would be quite so successful when up against the very best players mind.Let's not forget he's a sought after IPL player, there can't be many of those deemed not good enough by their International teams.
His batting is almost good enough alone now to get him a gig.
There was some really stupid batting around him too from those not handing him the strike. Does seem like the wicket is getting easier though.Man where the hell were they hiding this Cartwright guy? He should be batting higher. Been an absolute dynamite innings in very difficult conditions.
Not his fault. He put his name forward for the draft and wasn't selected. He's playing only as a replacement - chosen when Du Plessis dropped out. It's the conservative nature of the franchise teams management at fault - picking their mates, even their relations and those they've heard about in the last decade.Jason Roy is absolutely stealing a living too, surely time for him to hang up his bat. Can't remember the last time I saw him bat well.
