I know some of it was because Brook and Root batted really well, but the pitch looked about ten times more difficult to bat on after that shower yesterday. Serious credit to Siraj and honestly Krishna too for getting it spot on today.
It did become way harder. There was virtually no swing up until Bethell was ~midway through his innings.

You could argue it both ways - bad luck for England that conditions changed, or good fortune that they were easier when their best batsmen were in.

What is bazball's greatest achievement? 3 zip win in Pakistan?
We’ve had so many great moments under Baz, but for the most part, that’s all they’ve been, moments. That first away series in Pakistan is the one series we managed to be ruthless and stay consistent over the course of the whole series

Winning in nz is no mean achievement esp after they smashed india in india but that win in pakistan is unbelievable

If England batted every ball on its merit like they batted this series, they can win Ashes. But if they continue to be madmen bazballing, no chance to win against the Aussie pacers.

Also, any pink ball ashes test? In that case, can just put 1 in Australia name with Starc getting 10.

Would be utter madness to bring Bashir to Australia. Just bring someone who can land the ball somewhat accurately and can contribute with the bat.

Gotta say cheers to the English fans for not whinging about the conditions suddenly changing etc. I know I would’ve done it for sure and so would many others.
Added component that the exact same thing helped us get over the line against Australia in a symmetrical situation two years ago. Though that was a ball change so blame the umpires obviously.

Of course all the whingeing Aussies did whinge, we are better.

Yes but it's at Brisbane, weirdly

Whatever it takes!!!
Missed all of it after Brook-Root made things look inevitable yesterday afternoon. Couldn't stand the heartburn that set in with that Siraj catch. Woke up 30 mins shy of lunchtime in Eng, made a very conscious effort to not check phone for at least 10 mins. Finally did expecting the expected and squealed like an absolute schoolgirl. Salutes to those who braved it all. You guys are heroes.
I was sat on the office bus coming back home from about 20 mins into the day and the most amazing thing was this young-ish girl was watching the test match live stream sat next to me. And even hi5'd after the win.

I definitely see a test fan outside of the regular demo there and its testament to what series such as this can do to the game.

Wasn't the BGT breaking records for engagement and viewer numbers in India too? Regardless of how it might look elsewhere in the world the format seems to have never been more popular in India.
