How do you know whether something is natural ability or not?Dictionaries define it as the natural ability or skill to perform any task
Nature or nurture? How do you know whether something is natural ability or not?
You don’t really. How do you know whether something is natural ability or not?
Because output is also affected by other factors than natural talent.... Your discipline, motivation etc come into effect as wellIf AB De Villiers was so much more talented why did perform worse. This is such an idiotic question to begin with but the only true reflection of talent is output
The act of being able to be discipline and motivated is itself a talent.Because output is also affected by other factors than natural talent.... Your discipline, motivation etc come into effect as well
If you want to factor that in, it's upto you. But imo, it's a bit less natural and can be picked up more/taught to a better degree. De Villiers could get motivated and be disciplined when he really wanted to be, I don't know if Dravid could produce some of the shot making that De Villiers producedThe act of being able to be discipline and motivated is itself a talent.
So shot making is pure talent right? Why isn't some of the t20 batters considered more talented than Dravid? You can't say that they are not even is the same level, because that can easily be debunked saying that they are not in the same level because of discipline/motivation.If you want to factor that in, it's upto you. Shot making is ofc a big part of it, but not just shot making on roads against avg bowlers. Abd showed that shot making against the best bowlers on tough wickets too.. And there might be some guys in t20 cricket who might be more talented in t20 cricket too... I'm not denying that, give me some examples though. So shot making is pure talent right? Define talent. You're confusing more talented by better, if just the better batsman = more talented batsman, then you're basically saying that better is a synonym for more talented, which is simply not true
