What ails Jaiswal? Is he simply not as good as we thought? Looks becalmed and out of sorts in his movements and "intent" at the crease.
He did get some good fortune on those seamier decks in Australia, but showed a lot of mental resilience there. Seems to have gotten worse and worse as the series has gone on, don't think he knows where his stumps are, bit of a mess atm.

Gavaskar for the time being breathes a sigh of relief..

Gill needs 32 runs in the 2nd dig to eclipse him.... if the weather holds up & he gets another chance,that is.

Bradman's series record of course probably lives for another decade or so & Walcott will still probably stand alone as the only batsman hitting 5 centuries in a series.

As for the day... very truncated & it might get messier in regards to other affairs as the match wears on.

Yeah, doesn't seem like a technical issue even though the lack of footwork may suggest it. Just seems caught in a mental haze and making bad decisions as a result... or no real decision at all as seen today.
