Hi, I’m constantly looking at the laws of the game, England was playing India and India in the second innings was leading by about 80 runs with only 15 overs remaining and with England yet to bat their second innings. Why didn’t India declare with only 2 overs left and put England in to bat for example, as England wouldn’t obviously be able to get that amount of runs in two overs. It was a draw in the end but I wondered why India didn’t do that and go on to win. There isn’t a maximum or minimum amount of overs you have to bat in each innings is there in test.
