There are some cultural differences in approach to the sport, let's just accept them.

Probably if NZ/SA were playing, they might have accepted the draw without going for the milestone.
There’s a lot to be said about India’s supposed obsession with milestones, but it’s one thing to be playing for milestones when the game is well and truly alive, quite another to statpad when you’ve got a golden opportunity to, I think anyone apart from Wiaan Mulder would have batted on in that situation lol

So gaslighting the opposition when they don't do what you want is sportsmanship?

Putting on your part time bowlers is sportsmanship?

The result was going to be a draw whether they shook hands before the last hour or after , if one party wants to stay on respect it and do your job instead of making a mountain out of a molehill. That's true sportsmanship, not throwing a bitch fit for two blokes wanting hundreds after saving their team from defeat. That was Washington's first Test hundred and it came through a lot of guts and determination, Stokes tried his best to make Sundar feel bad about that, that's the real question of sportsmanship. Just pure gaslighting from a jerk.
Stokes was very salty, but putting on Brook just made sense, why risk your frontline bowlers when the game was up?

Yeah good summary.

I think bowling the part timers is still ok, I get wanting to rest your main bowlers after 150 overs in the field. But he did try and cheapen the whole thing for the players and the paying public which was pretty poor.

All it did in the end was take the shine off his own excellent performance in the match.

You don’t get to call it off just because you’re bored. Two guys were grinding for their first hundreds. Maybe try stopping them instead of sulking like someone stole your scone.

Loser Gambhir ruined the whole match by picking useless no rounder Thakur and 125 Kmph trundler Kamboj. Management is surely blind that they picked these two, and that too over Kuldeep. Imagine if he leaves Kuldeep out again... (after this bowling debacle).

India has to play Kuldeep. It’s their only shot at pulling off a win.

most likely the next test draws as well, both the bowling’s are cooked and there are class bats on both sides
