How much did slip cordons affect Marshall's and Wasim's records?

Wouldn't the same happen for McGrath? Am I missing something?
McGrath, Hadlee, Lillee, Steyn, Ambrose, Warne etc etc etc.

Moreover and more importantly, the teams wouldn't have been as good either.

Each of those guys had at least two AT slips in their cordons.

Who would have guessed that a great cordon upgrades the level of the bowling as well as the team? Go figure...🤷🏽‍♂️

Criticising a bowler for needing fielders to get wickets is like criticising a batsman for needing a bat to score runs. Completely asinine.
They say that Wasim and Waqar had to take the pitch out of the equation when bowling on the flat decks in Pakistan. I'm intrigued that they also had to take the fielders out of the equation too.

Presumably this all explains why they were so good at changing the equation of the ball.

No. I loved Wasim but he had several gaps as a bowler that I don't see with Marshall.

Mentally not the toughest and lacked that extra level of competitiveness.
what the ****ing **** are you talking about?

Pakistan win the World Cup in 92. Akram takes the most crucial two wickets in one game changing over. MoM
They win the Nehru cup in 1989. Akram hits six of the penultimate ball to take his team over the finish line.
Pakistan defends the Australasia cup in 1990. Akram takes a hat trick to end Australia's chase.

I know what I am talking about. I am talking about him the test bowler (he was a great ODI death bowler, no issues there) and many Pakistani fans who watched him will agree with my statement. Heck, Imran said it himself.

Is Wasim the type to bend his beck on an unsupportive pitch? He often by his own admission just went into robo mode outside off if he couldn't get anything.

Wasim often let outside issues affect his bowling quality. Check the 93 WI series and 99 Aus series.

He also admitted he rarely planned how bowling and setting up a bat, often not knowing what he was going to bowl next. Early career Imran instructed him literally every delivery.

I did not see Marshall, but saw entire career of Wasim. I would say it did impact Wasim negatively. Having a good slip cordon would have helped Wasim. I don't know how to quantify it though.

Because most things aren't.

But yeah, it had to impact him, and the team

He was a better ODI bowler, sure.
