Walcott?Sanga was neither a gun keeper or gun batsman with keeping. Not better than AB.
2nd XI should have specialist keeper and not some one like AB or Sanga.

Alec Stewart much ahead of him. What's your estimate of which team Prior would make here.... Like 15th?
Not saying it wouldn't improve without the gloves, or that simply he was a better bat in the part of his career where he wasn't keeping... But I could argue that for Walcott as wellI'll let you take his/their 40 average seriously when you take his/their average while not keeping seriously and place him over Sachin.
Flower would ofc make it ahead of him... I reckon prior makes it around 25th...Flower would make it ahead of Prior, and I don't intend to vote Prior anytime soon
Reckon they would for guys like Bedser and Barnes, similar to Chris Woakes and Ian Botham pace but much faster off the pitch and Woakes's generally reach the slips. At Barnes' pace would edges even carry to the slips or the keepers standing back? It's why I refused to pick him tbh. We don't know enough about his bowling for an ATG XI exercise. It's pie-in-the-sky stuff.
Rizwan.Flower would ofc make it ahead of him... I reckon prior makes it around 25th...
Quick question, Prior vs Haddin vs Dhoni vs Rizwan?
That's Ponting no contest.Easily the worst keeper and the most over rated batsman of the fraud 4.
I meant as in rank all 4Rizwan.
I'd go Dhoni over Prior, rest is the sameRizwan
Prior
Dhoni
Haddin
I consider Barnes as spinner infact he was way closer to spinner than pacer. That makes Miller even more tempting to have. @subshakerzI'm not confident Barnes was even a proper pacer in the way we classify them in the modern era. Which is why I want Miller in.
Me I'd go Dhoni -> Prior -> Rizwan -> Haddin. Not sure Rizwan's got the runs on the board yet to stand up to the best. Prior's peak was better but Dhoni did it for longer and also did it while captaining his side.Flower would ofc make it ahead of him... I reckon prior makes it around 25th...

people like Barnes, Bedser and Tate weren't actually spinners. They relied on swing, cut, had a run up (albeit short) and the extra bounce/pace off the wicket due to their hands and heights, not on drift or spin. All three men are every bit of as much of pacers as an Ian Botham or Chris Woakes.I consider Barnes as spinner infact he was way closer to spinner than pacer. I don't think it's possible for Barnes to be more than strickly medium.people like Barnes, Bedser and Tate weren't actually spinners. I'm leaning towards Walcott here. Both Sanga and Walcott saw a significant drop in their batting averages when keeping compared to their overall numbers. But Walcott batted in the middle order, so he fits this playing XI better. Sanga’s record outside of no. 3 isn’t convincing. Honestly, I’d only pick him as a specialist top-order batter in another XI — that’s where he’s proven and at his best.
Bro Sanga kept Murali for around 2000 overs in International Cricket. That's a huge advantage here. Walcott has a similar drop off in average while keeping.I'd reckon if Kallis wins, Knott is still the obvious choice for now. For the third team (or if Miller wins), I'd be tempted to go Walcott. But Ames is quite high for me too.
