Don't think he should be selected. He believes in Barnes bowling when it comes to the keeper but not as far as the batsman facing him. Typical.
Sangakkara has experience keeping to Murali though, and he certainly was very solid to that.Walcott is another, huge man, excellent keeper to spin (Murali), can potentially stand to stumps for Barnes given his large reach, exceptional batsman.
You ignore Kimber when inconvenient. He's made some very recent salient points regarding your favorite topic.

Do you believe that he could move the ball?Don't think hi should be selected.
Once he's there you have to figure out how to keep to him?
How is this not obvious?
Why would his keeping be a problem for you if you don't believe he could mix it up as claimed?Don't think hi should be selected.

If it's Ames then we should still go with Miller.basically, it's Walcott/Sangakkara vs Knott/Ames types. If the latter wins, Kallis wins, if the prior wins then Miller wins.
Never saw Ames compared to the great govemen, his reputation was largely built on his batting. Jock Cameron was much more revered for his glove work. They are actually pretty similar, Ames is just the worse version.
The keeper whose average was considerably lower when he kept?Because the value of a pace quartet can be potentially more. Especially if you have a batting heavyweight for keeper.
PJ/Knott and Sangakkara also has notable gap in batting, which I think in this instance is faaar greater than keeping. Sangakkara wasn't Pant, he was a legit good keeper. He could keep to Murali but when PJ was there, the gap was clear to see. It'd probably be the same or even more exaggerated vs Barnes... I'd take the ATG keeper
Now Walcott was an excellent keeper to spin. And I believe actually kept on uncovered pitches in England.Walcott is another, huge man, excellent keeper to spin (Murali), can potentially stand to stumps for Barnes given his large reach, exceptional batsman.
Sanga will be batting at 6. Much easier. I don't mind Walcott or ABD either. The keeper whose average was considerably lower when he kept?
You had Walcott in your WI ATG XI?Now Walcott was an excellent keeper to spin. And I believe actually kept on uncovered pitches in England.
Yeah Sanga was pretty decent, especially to spin, but imo the gap was big there to pace, + the fact that his batting clearly suffered a lot when he was keeping. So as wkb, the batting gap is actually quite less.PJ/Knott and Sangakkara also has notable gap in batting, which I think in this instance is faaar greater than keeping. Sangakkara wasn't Pant, he was a legit good keeper.
Don't know how Ames' stocks went this high recently. Knott was just better. And Sangakkara (or even Walcott) is also a better option than Ames.If it's Ames then we should still go with Miller.
Actually it's you.You ignore Kimber when inconvenient.
I think Sanga was a more proven keeper than them. Heck he kept in more Tests than Ames! And most importantly, he did so to Murali in almost all of them, and his keeping was never questioned. What more can you expect?Sanga will be batting at 6. Much easier. I don't mind Walcott or ABD either.
Voting Kallis regardless.basically, it's Walcott/Sangakkara vs Knott/Ames types. If the latter wins, Kallis wins, if the prior wins then Miller wins.
He’s one of us except with a popular youtube channel. That doesn't count as a criteria.
He was that guy in county, sure. In tests, no.He made some good points on him being Gilly before Gilly.
