Also Guwahati in winter could really be good for swing bowling. I remember Manoj Prabhakar running through some side and being unplayable there back in the 90s.

I reckon the Match Ref is going to have his work cut out to calculate the penalties in this game. So many daft delays plus some weather issues, but both teams miles behind on the official rates.

Let's be honest, other than the weather and the uncouth supporters of the local team, the UK has the best of everything for a neutral test. Would be happy to see all future World Cups being relocated there tbh.

I'm just pissed because the Basin fits perfectly for the WTC final. Great ground, will get a good crowd, timing in late March / early April coincides with generally good weather. What's not to like? Apart from that it's not in a Big Three nation so it doesn't exist, obvs.

Forget I said early April. It's only occasionally that March WTC series run right up to the IPL, and it's typically only series in NZ then anyway (which can be pushed around). There's normally a two-week window there so it's a lame excuse.
