Another wicket. Unless Jadeja pulls off a Headingley 2019 (highly unlikely), this is in England's hands. Bumrah and Siraj look like they have rarely even touched a bat.

Not being following the Aus vs WI games too closely but I was constantly surprised how Australia have kept managing to put on runs and almost always cross 200 despite poor starts. Someone always shows up to put the brakes on a collapse. Just doesn’t happen with consistency with India anymore.

When it's a hair's breadth either way, they're guessing in either case of Out or Not Out.

And if there was such a thing as benefit of the doubt going towards batsman in the law (see how fast that disappeared in football offside for attackers as soon as the tech became the authority), it would be all good in theory, but in practice umps are graded on how well they get calls in both directions in comparison to Hawkeye projection, so there's not a real practical pressure for a one sided benefit of the doubt as you're describing, we're actually trying to get it right both ways as often as possible. Hawkeye being the final authority does that, the umpire's call just leaves a sour taste for the bowling side.

Guess India will have to lose a nailbiter Test with 6 unsuccessful DRS umpire's call lbw challenges, for this to end up changing.
