3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

International Regular
NZ H won
India one test H won
South Africa H won
Pakistan A won
NZ A drew
Ireland H won
Australia H drew
India A lost
WI H won
SL H won
Pak A lost
NZ A won
Zim H won

Two defeats, both away on subcontinent. The two drawn series are frustrating but these results have been so much better than what came before.
was just about to say

Bazball has been absolutely revolutionary for England

I think this test match shows a slightly different approach and iteration towards the Bazballian formulae

Because with traditional Bazballian batting this match could have been over by now (England all out for sub 200 twice)

And it is somewhat working.

There is just a missing piece to this formula

I think we are working towards finding it in this series.

that missing piece is a good bowling unit.

Are you seriously telling me that winning 3 Ashes series on the trot in Strauss/Cook era, winning a series in India, demolishing India at home, (won a series against SA during that period too if Im not mistaken?) is worse than anything you have achieved in the past 2 years?

Counting wins against Ireland, West Indies, Zimbabwe etc like that's going to be impress somebody...

The only impressive feat in this era has been whitewashing Pakistan in Pakistan on absolute roads but you toured them again and you got bamboozled in spin friendly conditions so...

If Bazball cannot help regain the Ashes or win convincingly against the likes of India or SA at home/away from home, Baz would've failed big time.
Ireland gave us an almighty scare pre-Bazball!

But honestly India should be 2-0 by now , their catching has been embarrassing hence why it is 1-1 .

Bazball era has certainly resulted in a lot more wins for England compared to the era immediately prior. Thats just objectively true.
In the first 12 games where they won 10. You’d be right.

Since then our win loss ratio has been very much the same as the Root captaincy

you really think England should be steamrolling India when we are in a post Broad and Anderson era? We got no bowlers that come close to lace their boots and Robinson is shunned from the team so I think all things considered England are producing a great fight.

Yes, but India lost 3-0 to NZ and 3-1 to Australia and lost 3 of their 4 most experienced players (Ashwin, Kohli, Rohit) to retirement. Also Bumrah didn't even play in the 2nd test.
