Heh there’s turn from the footmarks. Stokes v Jadeja in the next innings should be interesting.

Bazball remember- Stokes wants fast and flat pitches

AFter this series the ICC needs to have a good look at themselves and ban deliberate pitch doctoring for home series.
donkey to donkey interaction going on out here.

what a load of bollocks i have ever heard

in that case i want to see no subcontinental square turners and no back of a length seaming pitches in Australia

What even is pitch doctoring. Sounds like the curators and ground staff are injecting steroids into the grass.

It's hot and the county clubs want to make matches go all 5 days for $$$.

Superb innings by Jadeja. Legitimately in this team as a batter.

I've only caught glimpses, but the pundits' comments 10 overs ago were that the 2nd new ball was doing plenty. Was it simply a case of England's quicks not being good enough to take advantage? And wtf was going on with all the missed run-out opportunities?

It's a slow deck, batters have had time to adjust to the movement. But it's doing enough that they can't simply hit through the line.

Stokes is getting some unpredictable bounce this spell. Lots of balls leaping up. Has looked dangerous.

Root is getting turn but it's slow turn

Yeah. I was more coming from the pov of how on earth did England keep missing them?

EDIT
And I suspect the one word answer to that one might be 'Pope'.
Pope had 3 shots...and someone else had another. Pope needs to go back to the attacking interception and zone in on your target
