Something very Scottie Scheffler about Bumrah. You watch just their actions without any context and there's no way you'd expect them to be generational talents in their respective sport, yet they're both incredible. Love to see these unconventional sports people at the top of the game.
Normally you wouldn’t want someone to copy an action as unorthodox as that, but if you can do what Bumrah does, absolutely copy it, it’s incredibly effective and must make his deliveries seem 5mph quicker

thing is who do we have that can come in to replace him

go with a longer tail with Atkinson/Potts?

Replace him with Bethell?
At this rate, replacing Woakes with Atkinson absolutely doesn’t make the tail longer, Atkinson is a genuine number 8, Woakes looks like a bowler who can occasionally biff it around these days

So I looked around at what Dukes have been saying and apparently this is an actual quote from the actual CEO:

If I made a really hard ball, it would have broken bats.
I think we might have a slight problem here.

Surely not. Maybe move him up to number 6 so he's not spending so much of his innings hoping that the tail will stick around.
Yeah Smith and Stokes swapping around until Ben finds his mojo again wouldn't be a bad idea.

Stokes has been very much at his best in last few years batting with the tail. I thought at the time him and Foakes should have swapped places in India.

Ahh bollocks man

It's been a problem in WI too, both sides have been complaining constantly about the ball in the current series apparently (they also use Dukes)
They had this exact problem back in the first year of Bazball (2022? - New Zealand were touring) where the new balls behaved fine but they went too soft too quickly and it was very hard to take wickets with the old ball. Seems like this year's batch have the same issue.

It was a problem in 2023 as well iirc

Sensible from Archer when the bloke at the other end has 44.

EDIT
Difficult for Carse here. He can't really turn down singles, but Archer was never likely to survive long against Bumrah. Ditto Bashir.
