England have been excellent today. Anti bazball, but good nonetheless
It’s a throwback to when they aimed to produce pitches that only Root could score runs on.

Lord’s is usually best for bowling on day two, but with Anderson/Broad retiring they might not have the same ability to bowl teams out in one session when the clouds align. If Woakes still has it in him he could be a nightmare on this.

That's hardly a whinge is it. He mostly talked about Pakistan anyway.
Yeah, fair enough. He did not harp on it but it just annoys me that an experienced player/pundit says something that is just so off the mark and so casually at that. I honestly dunno why it gets my goat tbh, but it does. lol

Need 572 more runs to get to 3000 runs in Ashes mark, guess he gets it by the 4th Test of this year's Ashes.
I'd be shocked if any player scores 572 runs in the Ashes. The way pitches have played over there in recent times.

Head was top scorer last time with 357.

Jonathan Trott seems convinced Stokes is injured here and not cramping. It looks like a cramp or at least a not very serious injury at the very least, to me.

Root at 99* is peak edging, anyway, clearly England's day, amazing play and showed they can still play classic test cricket when the need be.

England don’t always bat the entirety of the lifespan of a red cherry, but out of all the times they have under Baz, have they ever scored fewer runs or lost fewer wickets?
