*Official* South Africa Test Tour of Zimbabwe 2025

Kane Williamson could break Lara's record when he faces this Zim attack soon ..
Still find it strange Brad Evans isn't even in the squad. He isn't a world beater but at least should be a strong possibility for that 3rd seamer role.

Will Kane even be selected for this? 😂

International Debutant
Struggling to see how Zim pull this back? A good spell from one of the main quicks perhaps.

I was thinking why the hell did Zimbabwe get so funky so soon bowling short on this pitch with men out? Polly just said the same.

If anything 2 spinners would be better for this test than the last too. 😂

Chasing down Jackie McGlew's 104* v England in 1955 & Herbie Taylor's 109 v England in 1913 for a highest score in a South African captains first innings.

International Regular
The 34th Test Captain to score a hundred on captaincy debut , only 3 South Africans have done it ..

Herbie Taylor vs England at Lords 1913
Jackie Mcglew vs England at Old Trafford 1955
Wiaan Mulder vs Zimbabwe at Bulawayo 2025

I know there has been injuries and also players like Raza having special deals but I don’t understand how they decided on the makeup of these bowling attacks across the two Tests.
At least they didn't wheel out Faraz Akram again.

Masekesa, Chivanga and Matigimu are at least interesting prospects even if they're way too raw.

If I was Zimbabwean selector and was free to pick my own team I would have selected this team :

1.Brian Bennett
2.Alistair Frost (FC avg 44)
3.Craig Ervine (C)
4.Sean Williams
5.Dion Myers (FC avg 41)
6.Wessly Madhevere
7.Marumani (WK) (FC Avg 36)
8.Wellington Madsakadza
9.Tendai Chatara
10.Blessing Muzarabani
11.Tanaka Chivanga

When Bennett got injured I would have replaced him with Nick Welch

I think Chatara may also be injured but I'm not 100% certain on that one.
