Interesting. Didn't know that one but **** he is Klerksdorp through and through 😂

Garsies really trying to catch up in cricket and their rugby is strong but they recruit big from the Boland 😂
It looks like I need to move him anyway as he went from Waterkloof to Garsfontein to Klerksdorp. Traveled more than Bryce McGain...

Bahseph

International Debutant
the reverse of Imraan Khan who debuted for KZN at 10 or 11 as a spinner and played his only test as an opener...
I remember Muths being used as a 4/5 for KZN for a while. I think we have said it before but the best move he made was embracing his spin and letting his batting become the bonus. Conrad is a fan.

Dion Myers, who I didn't think was even in the squad, in for Bennett (technically Masvaure)... Still think he's the 1 young batter Zim have to just back to the hilt, unless they can convince Muyeye to return home, which sounds unlikely without regime change...

Myers was a boywunder for their U19s picked at 15 I remember. A bit concerning how he hasn't kicked on.

Interesting debut for a former Tuks player.

I know ESPNCricinfo has some questionable labels, but Yusuf labeled an all-rounder in the XI seems absurd. Subrayen is already questionable (his provincial record is worse than Maharaj's, although he has a provincial hundred which Bosch has never achieved...)

Subrayen described as "batting all-rounder" is also about 10 years out of date. I think a lot of their categories are set around their provincial debuts and never changed. Matthew Pollard is still a spinner e.g. and Obus Pienaar was LF despite not bowling above 120km/h since his 2nd provincial season...

Firdose Moonda is the main SA cricket respondent for Cricinfo which says it all.

They also don't even cover our domestic cricket live anymore.

I got them to change a few things last year but you will probably find loads more errors in cricket role and playing stats.

Yes. I got them to fix the Irvin Modimokoane duplication, but there is so much more, and the reporting system is byzantine. e.g. Robin Peterson played for Border last year per them, but that was actually Russell Peterson. And the women's profiles are 10 times worse. I use livescore.com to get score updates now.

Such a nothing poor shot from De Zorzi. Lucky to get away with that drop at slip. It's an area he seriously needs to look at.

Agreed Zim had them on the ropes early doors, but Pretorius took the game away from them, Ngarava or Evans as 3rd seamer on that pitch early doors could have done some damage too, team selection needs looking at, Bennetts concussion was a huge blow.
They were both injured. I think they ended up with the two spinners just because they didn't trust the other seam options. They're debuting a 27 year old specialist quick who's never taken a five wicket haul today.
