In a very strange (and somewhat creepy) coincidence I was thinking about Jose Reyes and that young Man Utd/Watford player (Jimmy Davis, Google tells me) who died in a car crash back in the early 2000s just yesterday.

Portsmouth lost a keeper (Flahavan) in similar circumstances too.

Him being charged coinciding with his contract ending feels somewhat suspect. It's pretty implausible that the evidence needed to bring charges only materialised in the last week or so, given that the allegations surfaced years ago, so why on earth he wasn't charged sooner is anyone's guess.

Feels a bit like they gave him a grace period to finish the season/his contract, which (if true) is pretty dire.
