Either go at him with the proper 'bounce him out' strategy, or bowl a proper full length. This just seems to easy for him to cut and pull away

As poor as his record outside Oz was, this start shows that Australia still miss Warner.

Even if he only got 30 or so, at least there would be some attacking impetus. The top 3 here looked as passive as you're likely to get from an Oz top order.

Over the long term I'd back Jayden and Shamar to be individually better than Roach, Holder and Gabriel. But it has to be said Shannon knew his role and is a significant upgrade on Alzarri as the third seamer.

With the old proviso for newish fast bowlers of fitness permitting. They look a very promising bowling attack, just need to find a few bats now.
