He bowled ok this morning, but was never overly threatening. The openers actually played very sensibly to begin with.

It's an era where games (especially in NZ/SA/Eng) either finish in 3 days or flatten out into total roads by the fourth innings. It's an odd set of conditions that didn't exist to the same extent in the last few decades. Not a coincidence Cummins has had his share of games where he's had to watch the other team chase down big totals vs Australia too.

I think the quick finishes are also why teams go very flat by Day 5. They're just not as used to it anymore.
