Not listening to the commentary (in case this has already been mentioned) but I'm pretty sure there's a provision for dead ball if the ball is lodged in padding. The question is whether it was lodged.That’s out if they appeal for it right?
Trying to argue it wasn't lodged but still moving... you know because "controversy".Rule was charged some time ago that once it lodges in the pad or equipment of the batsmen its dead ball.
