It really depends. Warne didn't really have too many great peers other than Murali. Akram had many.

I think if you were to ask the great batsmen of the era as to who was the toughest bowler they faced, Akram would probably have a higher peer rating than Warne.

I'm sure the Saffers would much rather face Wasim than Warne, and rate Warne higher, to boot.
Which of the top batsmen of the era rated Warne higher than Wasim?

Lara had Wasim
Sachin probably had none of those but of the two probably would choose Wasim.

Has Sachin ever said who is the toughest bowler he faced? P. S : Hansie Cronje or Abdur Razzaq doesn’t count.
He always says Cronje or Razzaq but he mentioned that the 1999-00 tour to Australia was his toughest series batting wise, and we can fairly guess that it would primarily have been due to McGrath

Sachin had a very good series.
3 Tests. 278 runs. Avg of 46.
61. 0. 116. 52. 45. 4.

I think this was also the series where he was given the controversial lbw decision when the ball hit his shoulder.

Yeah he got player of the series. And that lbw decision wasn't even the most horrendous decision of the tour. He got 1/2 worse ones

Akram is reviewed as the greatest bowler of all time. Even if Warne is reviewed like that, he is more closer to that spot than Akram.
Akram gets overrated for his swing and entertainment, although in ODI’s I wouldn’t call him overrated.
