I'll be real here, the entire thing is overblown, if the Indian bats can't handle what the English, Australian and Carribean bats regularly had to handle with each other, maybe they should start focusing on Golf.
It was part of the game for as long as fast bowlers have been in prominence.

I mean, even in the very first test match ever played, there's an account of George Ulyett (English pacer) bowling short pitched deliveries to get rid of the Australian centurion Charles Bannerman by hitting him and caused a retired hurt. Maybe it wasn't his intent to injure him, but that's exactly what he did.

This "intention" stuff is the biggest load of bolllocks I've ever heard. Nothing more than cognitive dissonance can explain it.

A bowler's bowls to sucessfully get play and miss from the batsman with as many deliveries as possible. You aim it short and at the body and the batsman plays and misses, he's getting hurt. I'm amazed that phrases like "not intentional" are even being used here.
