I can see why Larry Gomes is included in the poll. His average in Australia (70.33) far exceeds those of Viv Richards (47.57) and Clive Lloyd (48.97). On that basis, I would add Chris Broad (78.25).
However, the question is "Who is the greatest batsman to tour Australia?" in which case Hobbs, Sobers, Tendulkar, Hutton, Lara and Richards would lead the way.
On the other hand, the thread title is "Greatest Touring Batsmen to Australia", in which case we should be looking at outstanding figures, be they over one series or several. On that basis, and looking at pure statistics, we have:
Chris Broad (78.25)
Larry Gomes (70.33)
Ken Barrington (69.73)
Martin Crowe (66.92)
Herbert Sutcliffe (63.71)
Walter Hammond (61.91)
Jack Hobbs (57.98)
John Edrich (55.78)
Sachin Tendulkar (53.21)
Len Hutton (50.87)
anything less than 50 doesn't qualify as "Great" imo.
