When Aravinda made that 267, he was in a purple patch averaging 90+ in Australia and New Zealand. Played like a mini Viv in those tours. No Sri Lankan batsman had been that dominant till now. Then the civil war hit Colombo, and he lost plenty of matches in that time. Probably would have ended up with 45 - 47 average if not for losing matches.
