On a serious note, I’ll still prefer to wait til his career has progressed a bit more before rating him fully, which is why I’m not voting on the poll.
He’s clearly the best bowler in the world right now, and I’m interested to see how his career ends up.
(He’s already above Anderson tho)

It is better to judge a cricketer after his career finishes especially someone like Bumrah who has played less than 50 Tests.

Like Davidson vs Garner or Holding is a legit comparison as well. He was better than Trueman.

CW did vote Davidson at #15 so not a bad comparison on 2nd thoughts. Their matches and wicket tally are so comparable though that it should leave little doubt who is better (hint: Bumrah).

Don't really think it would've been that different tbh.
In a comparison like this, Bumrah isn't even lacking in longevity much. He'll be into his 8th year of his career in a while and Davidson only played 10. Almost becomes a debate on pure quality/skill level at that point.

Tbf to Davidson, he also was a 24 averaging bat and a Great fielder, especially at short leg.
