Great bowlers who would have been exposed against India

What does "would have been" mean? Does it qualify only those who played a few matches with bad records and then didn't play anymore? Does Warne or Murali count?

Marshall was scared to face Tendulkar in the 1994-95 series after getting hit for a couple of fours in the Benson and Hedges series, hence retired just after 92 WC.
Retired because of conceding couple of fours to a teenager? Is this some sort of joke or are you serious?

Shane bond retired in fear before he could play India on tracks that didn’t resemble the outfield. It’s safe to assume he would have done worse than in Sri Lanka where he averaged a weak 39.

Why? Tim Southee and Ajaz Patel are far worse bowlers than Bond, yet they find it easy bowling in India. It is good that you admit Bond was a great bowler though.

Tim Southee > Shane Bond, both are greats for NZ (slim pickings)

Ajaz is a spinner of course he did better than Bond would’ve done in India
