In terms of number of wickets I generally use a cut off of at least 200. I use 200 because quite a few players from the past simply didn't play enough tests to get many more wkts than they ended up with, through no fault of their own.

200 wickets is fine for pre modern bowlers.

For a modern bowler of 1970s/WSC onwards, it is way too early IMO. Longevity is an important benchmark of career performance. 300 wickets means around a decade of career activity and likely a couple of tours in most away countries.

Looks like according to recent polls, Donald is tied to Wasim, loses to Imran but comfortably beats Lillee and Trueman.

However, previous polls I remember showing Trueman and Lillee beating Wasim.

I think when we do rankings it comes to different results than head to head.

Has to be between Akram and Lillee but not sure which of the two. It probably depends on conditions.

After him, I think there would be a really open ended and interesting conversation for 7th (if we're given enough options, of course).

It would be boring if we had a completely structured order forever and I think Lillee's CW stock has really gone downhill in the last 2 years.
