SL never had hope of a result but had a chance of reducing NRR harm. Even that might not happen now.

The run rate still isn't a problem for Sri Lanka, the loss of 4 wickets is though, they will probably get bowled out in less than 40 overs swinging hard.

Better to go down swinging though and having a crack at winning rather than just batting out the 50 overs tamely and not having a crack at it.

This is a 450 wicket and SL could have easily chased it their bats were slightly more experienced. Still they are in the game.
