Could a Combined SC XI have beaten Waugh's or Ponting's Teams from 99 to 2007 in Australia?

Is it a combined team also from the same period?
I didn't specify, I just said they have to be from the same era.

If we do an exact time period, it becomes more difficult. I think Ganguly's side from 2003 which nearly beat Australia could be enhanced with Inzi, Shoaib and Vaas and it becomes more likely to win that series.

Australia are winning.
Definitely Aus favorites , but favorites don't always win ..
Also we gotta make sure the Umpires are not Steve Bucknor and Darrell Hair 🙇‍♂️

Well let's see ..
From 1999 to 2007 , a side in Australia

1.Saeed Anwar
2.Virender Sehwag
3.Rahul Dravid
4.Sachin Tendulkar
5.VVS Laxman
6.Younus Khan
7.Kumar Sangakkara (WK)
8.Wasim Akram
9.Zaheer Khan
10.Saqlain Mushtaq
11.Shoaib Akthar/Mohammad Asif

Yes definitely it can be done
Think this side has a chance but if we're trying to find a particular period where it would've been possible then the answer is no.

we wouldn't beat them if it happened in that time period with umpires not letting murali bowl and blatantly cheating with racism involved

transfer those atg aus players with peak skill to the present day and they will be easily beaten with drs etc

Would still lose IMO.
SC bowling is simply inferior to the Australian batting lineup in Australian conditions. So I don't think they can bowl Australia out under a reasonable score twice on Australia bouncy roads.

Definitely. Pace from Pakistan, Spin and batting from India, and fielding and spin bowling from Sri Lanka. 1-1 for sure in a 3 match series. Likely to be 2-1 on neutral grounds and a whitewash in Asia.

The Aussies faced a world XI at one point and absolutely pummeled them, so can't see an SC XI winning.
That was a piss poor side with a collection of best players. Not players complementing and playing as a team.

You're crazy . Pakistan pace (with the exception of Wasim) and spin bowling from anywhere is utterly useless in Australia. And with respect, there won't be enough Sri Lankans in the team to affect the fielding. No combined Asian team from that era is beating Australia in Australia. And they'd win only in Asia.
