De Zorzi, Petersen among eight Test players in South Africa A squad for Sri Lanka tour
They will play three one-day matches and two four-day games in June
Not just threads, but "Official" threads.we doing threads for team selection for A teams now?
I renamed it to this so we could at least use it to talk about the tour instead of just the selection headline he originally posted. Not just threads, but "Official" threads.
No no, this is the mod thread title. I can assure you, GSK's one was infinitely superior. Not just threads, but "Official" threads.
How 'bout merging it with a more relevant thread and maybe even removing the obvious copy-pastes. It makes reading a chore.I renamed it to this so we could at least use it to talk about the tour instead of just the selection headline he originally posted.
We do have a South African team selection thread, which would be an appropriate place for this. How 'bout merging it with a more relevant thread and maybe even removing the obvious copy-pastes. It makes reading a chore.
Eh, still good to have a thread to discuss the actual matches in. I don't mind having separate threads for A tours, we had one for NZ A v Aus A recently. We do have a South African team selection thread, which would be an appropriate place for this.
What GSK is doing would have been excellent in the early 2000s when hardly any cricket news sites existed outside of CI and some others...idk how the copypastes still remain up, if i wanted to read a cricbuzz preview i would go there instead of coming here. here is a place where you have high quality discussion from fans of every cricket country that doesn't exist elsewhere
he isnt posting anything new though, most of it is just content from elsewhere easily accessible. it wouldn't have been any better thenWhat GSK is doing would have been excellent in the early 2000s when hardly any cricket news sites existed outside of CI and some others...
I have the Cricbuzz app on my phone.
GSK is probably too slow...
I don't think people actually enjoy them much, I think it was a matter of "he's just an enthusiastic fan who doesn't understand what he's doing wrong, banning him is harsh"did not know there were people who enjoyed his score updates and essays ripped from cricbuzz in these forums. both of which can be achieved by just using the mobile app that exists for it
We noticed him including the name of the site where he does the copy pasting from... but he's not doing that anymore.Eh, still good to have a thread to discuss the actual matches in. I don't mind having separate threads for A tours, we had one for NZ A v Aus A recently.
As far as GS Kohli's other antics go - we can't get him to stop. When @Spark banned him for ignoring our instructions people complained that it was too harsh, so we can't win. We're definitely not going to be spending our time deleting or editing 20 of his posts per day. We either cop it or we ban him.
I find it equally annoying whether he cites his sources or not tbh.We noticed him including the name of the site where he does the copy pasting from... but he's not doing that anymore.
Come on mods, don't be like the umpires in IPL who doesn't call those blatant chuckers (in KKR) out
I feel like there used to be a thread like it. What happened?I do think we should have an official A tour thread. Like one thread where all A team cricket can be discussed.
i got that argument initially and i was in favour of it too but if he's doing the same after being warned and instructed and even requested then that is just being rude imo. its not on other people to clean messes he leaves as much as i find it funny that he makes mods work so muchI don't think people actually enjoy them much, I think it was a matter of "he's just an enthusiastic fan who doesn't understand what he's doing wrong, banning him is harsh"
