Imran and Steyn literally average the same away (24) before Imran started playing as a specialist batsman though. Both did well against their toughest foes also.Steyn because of a better away record.
So there's hardly any difference between them.Imran and Steyn literally average the same away (24) before Imran started playing as a specialist batsman though. Both did well against their toughest foes also.
I think Imran got injured a little more frequently too so that's something to consider also.So there's hardly any difference between them.
Imran peak was better but Steyn's lasted longer.
Yeah bowling in SA is famously much harder than Pakistan.if Steyn had Imran's home umpiring and other assistance he'd average 12
I was after subshakerz but thanks anywayYeah bowling in SA is famously much harder than Pakistan.
Last I checked he genuinely doesn't rate Steyn so there's time yet for a flame war with the SA bros.I was after subshakerz but thanks anyway
Not sure that's true. Imran got injured for two years and then returned after his peak but was still quite effective.I think Imran got injured a little more frequently too so that's something to consider also.
'Genuinely doesn't rate' as in I didn't think Steyn deserves to be top five of all time but I put him at six. My main issue was that he blew hot and cold too often and was more hittable than the others, to which the contention was that his SR was better and then we debated that a long while.Last I checked he genuinely doesn't rate Steyn so there's time yet for a flame war with the SA bros.
Probably misremembered because it got heated tbf.'Genuinely doesn't rate' as in I didn't think Steyn deserves to be top five of all time but I put him at six.
