ATG All-round Performances in a Calendar Year

The Sean

Cricketer Of The Year
Getting back to the original theme, let's look at great all-round performances in a calendar year. Here, in alphabetical order, are the players and their possibly finest calendar year as an all rounder.

PlayerYearBattingBowling
Botham1978597 @ 39.8078 @ 18.20
Dev1979619 @ 30.9574 @ 22.96
Hadlee1987336 @ 49.8539 @ 20.74
Imran1982393 @49.1362 @ 13.29
Kallis20011120 @ 70.0035 @ 26.66
Miller1951568 @ 51.6425 @ 24.44
Pollock2001573 @ 52.0955 @ 21.38
Sobers1966895 @ 99.4432 @ 24.00
Sobers was such a hack in '66. Give him a bit of bowling responsibility and he couldn't even average 100 with the bat.

Also worth updating this table to reflect that in 1951 Miller's bowling average was 20.44, not 24.44.

Line and Length

International Coach
Kyle Jamieson's FIRST calendar year in test cricket:

2020 196 runs @ 49.00 and 25 wickets @ 14.44

I daresay Jadeja, Ashwin, and Holder have done this more than once and perhaps Shakib and Stokes (not sure about the bowling for those two).
Jamieson's figures are truly impressive but he lacks the volume of runs and wickets of others (probable fewer opportunities).

Similarly, Holder's most impressive year (346 runs @ 49.14 & 20 wickets @ 17.25 in 2019) is down on volume.

Of the others you mention, Jadeja (328 runs @ 41.00 & 54 wickets @ 23.06 in 2017), Ashwin (612 runs @ 43.71 & 72 wickets @ 23.90 in 2016), Stokes (641 runs @ 58.27 & 19 wickets @ 18.74 in 2020) and Shakib (424 runs @ 47.11 & 27 wickets @ 26.52 in 2014) all have had great calendar years as all-rounders with, perhaps, Ashwin being the most impressive.

GIMH

Norwood's on Fire
Over 40 with the bat and under 30 with the ball would have been my default measures to go to, without giving it a great deal of thought.
