Somewhat inspired by a post in the 1970-now XIs thread where one of the teams had 12 players - how many players would your current national test team need to beat your national ATG XI?

Obviously it's not 11 (or fewer) and it's probably not 30 (or more). Please discuss.

Can players overlap? Like for Australia, would smith be selectable for both teams or how would he be used?

Players can be selected for both sides.

Obviously you bat with however many people are in your team, so it's probably most useful to stack your team with middle order batsmen

Guy wrecked the 2003 WC for me by dismissing Lara before he had a chance to face Murali. But sad it has gone from there to this.
