I think a case could be made for Greenidge over Lloyd easily enough, as a batsman. Greenidge is considered to be in the top 10 openers of all time by CW
I disagree because Hayden could also be considered in the top 10 greatest openers but he's no better than Steve Waugh who's arguably outside the top 10 middle order batsmen of all time.

How the **** did I overlook Dravid? Dravid >> Kohli ftr. Not sure about Smith vs Kirsten - I'll let the Saffers decide.
You missed Donald too. I'd take Smith and Donald over AB (in Tests) and Kirsten.

Yeah but Waugh > Lloyd I think

Lillee took 6 wickets in 5 Test matches outside Australia/England/New Zealand. Lillee does not make my Top 10 Fast bowlers of all time
You are factually correct, but then he is the most complete fast bowler of all time. Every time he played outside these countries, he was either injured, or had to face issues like food, dust etc.
Unluckiest cricketer ever.

If you Exclude the 2001 series, Ponting has a very good record against Harbhajan.
Ponting only averaged 26 in India over 25 innings. His issues were pretty much not limited to Harbhajan alone though Bhaji was his biggest tormentor.

He never had a very good record against Harbhajan in india. He only progressed from atrocious to poor to average to decent in the 2000s decade while playing in this country.

So you're judging Lillee on:

One test vs WI in 1973 where he only bowled 20 overs before having his massive back injury that put him out for 2 years

One test vs SL where he took 3 wkts after Aus made 4-514 (dec). Spin took 14 wkts + 2 run outs, while Hogg got the other.

Three Tests vs Pak where he only bowled 4 innings due to spinning roads and took 3 wkts in the series (Sarfraz Nawaz only took 2 wkts in 5 innings). Example is 2nd test Aus scored 617 in 1st innings, whereby Pak then scored 2-382 - game over.

Since 2002, Ponting vs Harbhajan

227 runs - 339 balls - 5 dismissals

Scoring 45.4 runs per dismissal at a rate of 67 runs/100 balls is very good IMO

Is this about his overall stats against Harbhajan or against him in India ? Ponting only scored 664 runs in India and there is no way he has scored those many against Bhajji in India let alone since 2002.

Punter has played him excellently in Australia, that is something beyond debate.

Since the initial comment was 'Ponting was Harbhajans bunny at his peak' we can include his record in Australia as evidence to counter it.

Lots of batsmen are bowler's bunnies in India.

Virat is Lyon and SOKs bunny in India
