This is an accurate assessment. You have taken liberties on 'justify' al thought strictly true (as you want to go far further into discussing adjustments but that is implictly acknowledged with your next sentence after I told you I preferred Buttler's strike rate to Dhoni's), but overall, the sentiments are right. Well done. You're late to the thread Stephen
Mr. Miyagi is entitled to pick who he likes and doesn't have to justify his selections to anyone. If you want him to engage in a discussion about adjusting stats for eras, you'll need to make a new thread, and then he will only engage you if he's inclined to do so
If you don't like his posts you can block him.
That's where we landed.
Useful for the batsmen facing him maybe. Bevan bowled 4 log hops and 3 full tosses every over. And yes I know that doesn't make sense. His bowling was just that loose.2018 Bevan would have been so good. Basically Mike Hussey who bowled some useful chinamen.
Sounds like a regular wristspinner tbhUseful for the batsmen facing him maybe. Bevan bowled 4 log hops and 3 full tosses every over. And yes I know that doesn't make sense. His bowling was just that loose.
Yea honestly when TJB and I are the reasonable ones in a thread, you know you've ****ed upMr Miyagi is actually doing the impossible here and making ***** seem the reasonable party to a discussion on anything.

Yeah, I mean presumably ATG XIs would have more frequent drug testing and there's no way a steroid-free Dre Russ could be good enough. Without the steroids he's basically a less-coordinated Stuart Binny.I still can't get iver the bloke who picked Russell
Does Saqlain not exist anymore?Anyways, if all of Ajmal and Narine wickets are deemed legal (they aren't but lets pretend for a bit), where would you guys rank them among the ODI spinners?
Ajmal would be #2 for me after Murali.
Yeah probably 2 and 3ish. Competing with the likes of Warne, Hogg and Saqlain.Anyways, if all of Ajmal and Narine wickets are deemed legal (they aren't but lets pretend for a bit), where would you guys rank them among the ODI spinners?
Ajmal would be #2 for me after Murali.
Saqlain had similar numbers in an easier eraDoes Saqlain not exist anymore?
"The Indians will go nuts because they’ll say ‘there’s MS Dhoni’. Well, I think Buttler’s just gone ahead of MS Dhoni because of his approach and because of the power he brings," he [Michael Vaughan] told BT Sports.
Author's Take
It is not surprising to hear of comments like these where Vaughan has hailed Buttler’s performances better than that of India’s limited-overs specialist Dhoni.
Of late, the Indian veteran has been struggling to find the right flow and maintain the strike rate as per the demands of the modern game – his former teammates VVS Laxman and Ajit Agarkar had even questioned his abilities – whereas Buttler has developed himself into one of the most threatening one-day batsmen.
https://www.hindustantimes.com/cric...-in-trouble/story-8nJZcofrGa1qhytXQAUcmL.htmlSo, when former England captain Michael Vaughan decided to conduct a poll on Twitter asking fans to pick between MS Dhoni and Jos Buttler, little did he know that his harmless comparison between the two cricketers would spark a massive outrage on the micro-blogging website.
Taking to Twitter, Vaughan asked fans: "Intrigued what you all think...You are allowed 1 of these 2 (Dhoni and Buttler) now in your team...Who you going for on present form!??".
With over 2,500 retweets and over 2,200 likes, Vaughan's tweet has attracted a massive response from the cricket fans, with 61 percent voting for Dhoni against Buttler.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan learnt the hard way that a comparison between a swashbuckling English wicketkeeper and an Indian cricket legend is not a good idea.
Especially when that Indian legend has more followers on social media and fans around the world than Vaughan and the English wicketkeeper in question combined.
Vaughan on Monday ran a poll on which wicketkeeper-batsman should be in a playing XI based on current form. The choice was between star English cricketer Jos Buttler and none other than MS Dhoni.
The 43-year-old's poll question read - "Intrigued what you all think...You are allowed 1 of these 2 now in your team... Who you going for on present form "
Just for the record, when this article was being written, Dhoni was leading by 60% of the total 55,430 votes.
Almost 12 hours after he posted the poll online Vaughan conceded - "Note to self .... Never run a poll asking people to choose an England player over an Indian Player on here ... !!!!!"

At one point, he pretty much embodied the ‘sour grapes’ theory.
Now see, you’d think he had learnt his lesson, that Indian cricket fans just by sheer number could win this poll. But no! Michael Vaughan once again ‘asked for it’ by posting another nonsensical poll, pitting two Indian stalwarts against each other!
The gall on this man, right?
Indian Twitter lay in wait to ambush him over this poll too. But I think, this one tweet sums up the entire episode too damn well!
Major Lagaan feels no? Sudhar jaao, Michael Vaughan!
