Leg-break bowler Tomlinson was the first Rhodesian to play for SA. T.Pithey, Bland, Lawrence and Partridge the best performing and all played together for Rhodesia. Du Preez continued to be picked in SA invitational teams for rebel tours after isolation.

So Whittall v Taylor finished 5 all and I went for Guy after quite a bit of thought. They have similar batting records only making runs against Bangladesh and NZ. I like the fact that Whittall can bowl a bit too, would have been more of a factor if a second spinner was picked ahead of Jarvis though. I also like how Whittall batted regularly at 6, while Taylor has only batted there once (because he is good and bats higher tbf). I am a Taylor fan but he has performed better in ODIs than Tests.
