14th June - 1st Semi-final - England v Pakistan

Think Morgan may be starting to look to be a tad more proactive and aggressive in this period, currently 24 off 37, will feel like he's got himself in now and will look to just step on it a fraction.

Sure, Pakistan might have bowled quite well so far but England is clearly on top. Having just lost 2 wickets so far and having two of their best batsman playing themselves in is not a very good sign for Pakistan.

From Amir getting injured to almost every umpiring decision going against them, Pakistan just haven't had the luck needed to win a game like this.

There aren't really any let offs yet though, all the bowlers have been bowling well, might have to target the new guy when he comes back

When you say every umpiring decision going against them, you mean the LBW shout that pitched outside leg, or the caught appeal that was given out but overturned on the basis it didn't hit glove or bat ? There was only the LBW shout that could have gone either way as it did clip the off stump second ball of the game.

They've bowled well but also spilled a couple of chances, which isn't down to luck either.

Shadab is one audacious leggie for his age, or perhaps due to his age. Setting traps for Stokes

Big wicket of Root, a couple more quick ones here and Pakistan will feel very well placed in this game.

I did not suggest any of the decisions were wrong which is why I mentioned luck instead of going after umpires.

Bairstow first over was luck - had Erasmus given it out on another day, it would have been out on review

Hales lbw - had it pitched a few millimeters to the left, it would have pitched on line

Morgan lbw - missing the stumps, on another day might have clipped the bails.

You can call it luck or whatever the hell you want but you kinda need some of those things in your favour to win a game like this.
