Next you'll be wanting Guptill-Bunce and his 40 FC average to be given an extended run. Auckland will have no incentive to change the motorways for pitches policy, because NZC's paying out on the fruits of it.I know, and I don't care. I still want him in the side for an extended run, no matter how terrible he looks.
Loving that improved resolution and frame rate.Bowes retired hurt because he copped one pretty flush an over earlier (predictably from the bowling of Kuggs).
I still can't believe the outcome of the last one after the defence lawyer actually asked, "Were you saying no but not meaning no?"Kugz with a match winning spell. Does anyone know when his second rape trial is going to be (ugh, now there's a sentence I never thought I'd have to type on these forums)?
I think it was said at the time it'd be early to mid next year.Kugz with a match winning spell. Does anyone know when his second rape trial is going to be (ugh, now there's a sentence I never thought I'd have to type on these forums)?
I seem to recall him being likened to a young Bruce Edgar when he made his debut. It's a nice touch that Edgar as coach has restored him to the opening role.I think it was said at the time it'd be early to mid next year.
Good to see the Firebirds get off to a good start, and despite the naysayers a page or two back, the magnificent local trio of Murdoch, Woodcock and Patel were the key men in the victory.
The Woodcock for the Blackcaps test opening spot campaign begins today.

Trifle harsh. Hard to effectively replace pace bowling unit in Bates ( retired) , Quinn ( Essex) , and McClenaghan. They picked up Cody Andrews too who wasn't up to much with Northern Districts.
I find Auckland as a whole, bar Ferguson and Robbie O'Donnell (who I've always expected something out of) completely boring. For whatever reason they seem enamoured with picking as many bits and pieces medium pacers as they can, which they have done over the last two years with de Grandhomme and Grobb. I don't know how good Hicks is with the willow but his bowling looks about the same as the two mentioned. Then you have Nicol, bleh, Raval who I don't really see anything worth talking about and Guptill-Bunce who at 26 has just started his FC career.
Perhaps Steve can tell us what's going on but they seem to be letting the talented guys leave and keeping the less so ones around.
Talking about Obus, no? Admittedly about ~1300 of those runs came in the 3-day comp, but he still has 2000+ for the Knights in the Sunfoil @ 38ish. His bowling never really stepped up beyond the amateur stuff, but hey, it might be sufficiently #engineroom and #agribusiness to pull Wellington out of a hole from time to time.Great to have the summer back and looking forward to a good season for the firebirds. Murdoch has been pumping runs for years now, Black caps should give him a go. Great to see Jeets back in the mix for Black Caps. Too good a player not to be playing at the top level. There's bound to be a call up for Tom Blundell this season. Meanwhile the club season in Wellington has been brightened up by a Saffie import at Taita, he's smashed couple of hundreds in as many games but the bowling was barely club level. That said the bloke has scored nearly 4k domestic runs which probably is equivalent to about 8k domestic runs in NZ. Looking forward to seeing some local talents. Disappointed Fraser Colson was dumped for Hamish Marshall... very short sighted move. Meanwhile where are the local Wellingtonians in the firebird mix?
