Viv belongs in Master tier over Lara, Sanga etc based just off Tests? I feel like Viv and Tendulkar are overrated because people are conflating ODI accomplishments into a Test-only (I assume) comparison.

You really dont know how good players like Viv were, do you? I sort of assume you just look at his average and think he wasnt that special. He was. He's a class above Sanga, as a test batsman.

Caddick on the same tier as Lindwall? You know, it's OK if you disagree with your statistical ranking system. The fact that you go out of your way to justify them by actually saying you agree with some of the more absurd results the website produces is bonkers.

I know he was great, I also know he fell off at the end. I consider him a class above Sanga in ODIs, but not in Tests.

Nothing to do with nationality - it's easy to consider Murali a tier above others in Tests. You just have to have watched his insane run from 2001-2007 that has never been done before and never been replicated since.

I never realised Murali averaged 75 with the ball in Australia over a 12 year period, including the golden era viriya refers to. In hindsight I have to agree - no one else being considered as an ATG or even in a league of their own as a bowler has consistently performed so poorly over the entire length of his career in one country. He's truly in a league of his own.

I knew he flopped here, I didn't realise he climbed the Eiffel Tower, spread his arms to the adoring crowd and performed the mother of all belly flops into a six inch deep inflatable pool. His best bowling here was for the ICC XI too. His average for SL here is 106!!!!!! I know he only played five matches in total here, but it's not like he's had one **** series in a country and never come back. That's terrible. Under 10s terrible. Australia would rather have faced Murali than Eddie Hemmings here. Just think about that.
