The ATG Teams General arguing/discussing thread

Yeah i meant for those who did not play in any kind of t20 cricket which includes Sachin/Warne t20 stuff as well

The idea was to pick blokes who had no idea about t20 cricket like Miller,Lillee etc instead of picking guys like Ambrose,Anwar etc

Anwar and Ambrose had no idea about t20
Anwar retired after 2003 world cup along with Akram and Waqar and both went to have t20 stints in UK so i'm pretty sure Anwar must have had some idea

Ambrose, Anwar era was lot closer to the t20 era than the Lillee, Marshall era so it could've been lot easier for those guys to adjust

they were close to that era but they never played T20. The run scoring in their era was obviously much faster than that in Lillee and Marshall but then you can just say that you would like players before 1996 when batting really became much quicker in odis

This got me thinking, what would be the best t20 team from players who have never played any competitive game in this format

Barry Richards
Garry Sobers
Viv Richards c
Keith Miller
Javed Miandad
Ian Botham
Kapil Dev
Les Ames
Derek Underwood
Malcom Marshall
Dennis Lillee

Would hold their own imo

Whatever it takes!!!
Wasn't it a specialty of Bradman that he can score runs by hitting the ball along the ground the best? He basically never had to hit the ball in the air which is why he was so bloody consistent. Wonder how that style of play would fit into the modern T20 game. Of course, he could have gotten better at other aspects, but just wonder how the most supremely talented batsman ever in terms of hitting the ball into gaps along the turf would fare in today's age.

Don't put words you want to read into other people's mouths.
there's nothing wrong with Don wanting to be Don Braddiamson. It's ok to accept that he's an earlier version of Williamson. Donald only scored centuries in England and Australia. The Kane has scored them in England, Australia, UAE, West Indies, Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh and New Zealand. Also in Zimbo and South Africa if you include ODIs
