well without going back through every post it has seemed fairly reserved presumably as none of you guys would have selected Johnson in your team or anywhere near the team.No idea where you've gotten this from
No no no no no. It's just we're waiting for our batting line up to inevitably fall in a heap, and can't quite believe they've conjured enough runs so far to put us in this position.well without going back through every post it has seemed fairly reserved presumably as none of you guys would have selected Johnson in your team or anywhere near the team.
Yeah been so impressed by the way he's played thus far. Compact and assured, especially against spin.Warner is starting to look like a seriously good player
If he can keep his pea-brain on the job, he will score a mountain of runs for Oz
Mate, when we're embarrassing the English to this ridiculous degree, there's no need to say anything. #JohnsonstareThe only saving grace for english fans on here is that it's Johnson doing all the damage. I feel like it's a restrained joy from the aussies because it's Mitchell- they can't quite take full delight or bring themselves to gloat.
Lies.well without going back through every post it has seemed fairly reserved presumably as none of you guys would have selected Johnson in your team or anywhere near the team.
WHAT!There is palpable menace around Johnson that I don't recollect seeing in anyone in the last fifteen years. Not Shoaib, not Lee. Even Steyn moves through gears judiciously. But Johnson is just outright physical intimidation.
Johnson in this mode is as frightening as anything I have ever seen, Shoaib included. I don't think that's too controversial an opinion tbh.WHAT!
Please don't compare Johnson to Akhtar. He's not in that league yet, skill wise, pace wise or intimidation wise.
Yesssssss#Johnsonstare
Johnson's bowling this morning was better than Akhtar's bestWHAT!

What "league"? It's Shoaib Akhtar, not Michael Holding ffs. I doubt there's any great difference between them skillwise anyway. It's not like Shoaib set the world afire everytime he toured..and c'mon how staggered were those events anyway? They're both equally erratic, equally irrepressible when the mood gets them. But my point was more that Johnson seems to bowl a consistently fast, HEAVY ball. It looks painful just viewing itWHAT!

Well Shoaib did that to you lot in that Test in Sri Lanka. That was just scary pace.I didn't see much Shoaib and Lee wasn't really that good a Test bowler until he stopped trying to blast batsmen away.
But I don't think I've ever seen so many Test batsmen so comprehensively beaten for pace in one innings before. Certainly not on a pitch like that.
I loved it. It's all spot on anyway, but maybe it's worth mentioning that this is a guy who, aged 40, was willing to get his arse into line against Roberts, Holding, Garner, croft and Marshall. He's more entitled than most to have a glorious rant about this lot's lack of any sort of spine.
